Squads are one of the most important aspects of Zombie Slayer. Not only is the game more fun with friends, but they directly affect how powerful you are in Fights.
Adding friends to your Squad will allow you to see their activity in your Social Feed and message them in the game. You can also help each other with your Outbreaks, Bosses, and Challenges as well as send Gifts and Boosts.
A big Squad gives you more choices when selecting members for your Top Squad, who contribute directly to your Attack and Defense strength in Fights with Bosses and other Slayers.
Top Squads

Top Squads
When you enter a Fight, your Top Squad members automatically contribute to the encounter by adding their Attack and Defense skill and by bringing in some extra equipment. Each Top Squad member will add 5 Weapons, 5 Gear, and 1 Vehicle to your Fights. These items come from your own inventory, and your most powerful items are automatically selected depending on whether you are attacking or defending.
Adding people to your Top Squad helps them too! Every time you gain Cash from Fights, Outbreaks, or Hits your Top Squad receives bonus Cash equal to a small percentage of your earnings.
Encourage your best Squad members to add you into their Top Squad as well and team up to rake in the Cash! Don’t forget to check your Top Squad page regularly though, as uncollected Top Squad earnings expire after 3 days.
Hired Squads
Looking for a quick addition to your Squad’s power? Trade in UN Credits for Hired Squad members. These silent, grizzled mercenaries won’t send Gifts or help you in Challenges, but they can be a great addition to your team! Hired Squads will increase your Fight strength, can expand your capacity to bring Gear, Weapons, and Vehicles into Fights, and can even join your Top Squad!
Whenever you Fight another Slayer, your 25 strongest Hired Squad members will add their Attack or Defense strength, depending on whether you are attacking or defending. A Hired Squad member's attack and defense stats are based upon the type of Hired Squad member they are (Brawler, Pointman, etc.) and what your skills were when you hired them.
If you want to improve the strength of your Hired Squad, you can purchase new Squad members, or upgrade the ones you already have! Additionally, each of these 25 Hired Squad members will bring some of your items into combat, just like members of your Top Squad.
On top of that, Hired Squad members can also join your Top Squad! Top Hired Squad members do not count toward your extra 25 Hired Squad, and they operate like other Top Squad members. However, certain Hireds provide bonus boosts for your attack and defense when added as one of your Top Squad members!
Note: Hired Top Squad members provide boosts up to a maximum of 10%.

A Squad member who signs up for a Contract position grants you a special perk for 48 hours, such as a bonus to Outbreak earnings, Experience, or additional power in Fights!
You can publish open Contract positions to your friends once every hour.
Gifts
Show your Squad how much you appreciate them by sending gifts! Gifts are fun to get, and can be used in your Workshop to help craft new and better items.
You can send up to 500 gifts a day. The more gifts you send the higher the chances your friends will send a gift back!
Create a Gift Wishlist so your Squad will know what you’re looking for, or post a Gift Request to your feed.
Fight Boosts
Another way your Squad can help you is by sending you Boosts! Return the favour by sending Vaccine Boosts, Energy Boosts, and Stamina Boosts!
Vaccine Boosts give everyone in your Squad an increase to Attack for a limited time. Check your Squad Alerts to see any boosts that have been offered to you.
An Energy Boost gives a member of your Squad a 100% refill of their Energy points.
A Stamina Boost gives a member of your Squad a 50% refill of their Stamina points.
You can find Vaccine Boosts in your Social Feed, and Stamina and Energy Boosts in your Squad Alerts!
A Squad member who signs up for a Contract position grants you a special perk for 48 hours, such as a bonus to Outbreak earnings, Experience, or additional power in Fights!
